New Rochelle, NY RXR Realty celebrated the topping-out ceremony for One Clinton Park, a new development that is transforming the heart of the city. The project created 250 local jobs and employed a variety of contractors including MWBE firms and local businesses.
One Clinton Park is a 28-story mixed-use tower with 352 apartments and 13,000 m² of retail space. The building is located near the city’s train station and provides access to Midtown Manhattan in less than 45 minutes. The 433,000 s / f development laid the foundation stone in 2020 and has made rapid progress despite the ongoing pandemic. RXR and the project’s construction manager, LRC Construction, implemented health and safety protocols on site to ensure everyone’s safety. This includes markings and signage for social distancing, improved cleaning processes, and enough space for the crew to work together and effectively.
“We are proud to celebrate another milestone in our role as the lead developer of downtown New Rochelle. Thank you to Mayor Noam Bramson, City Administrator Chuck Strome, the New Rochelle City Council and the entire New Rochelle community for your leadership and partnership, ”said Scott Rechler, Chairman and CEO of RXR Realty. “As long-term investors in downtown New Rochelle, we look forward to doubling our operating philosophy of” Doing good, doing good is doing better “for years to come.”
“We laid the foundation stone at One Clinton Park a little over a year ago. I want to thank the city of New Rochelle for staying steadfast in its focus to revitalize its downtown area, ”said Joanne Minieri, SEVP, COO of RCS & RDS RXR Realty. “Despite this pandemic, our construction management team came together and presented the relevant safety protocols so that the more than 250 craftsmen who came to the construction site could continue to build the building accordingly.”
Over the past five years, as the main developer of Downtown New Rochelle, RXR has made significant investments in the community to revitalize the urban core of the city, including setting up a $ 1 million COVID relief fund. A Clinton Park will support long-term downtown health, promote new retail and small businesses, and attract renters to rebuild their tax bases. A Clinton Park is due to be completed in early 2022, as is the start of construction on the sister tower, Two Clinton Park.
