Governor Greg Abbott will hear from construction workers in San Antonio on Tuesday.
Abbott and industry representatives who have slowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic will meet at Cuisine Solutions’ new facility. The 290,000 square foot Sous-Vide manufacturing facility is located near Brooks City Base on the Southeast Side.
The listening session starts at 12:15 p.m.

Abbott will meet with Blaine Beckman, president of the Associated General Contractors San Antonio, and Frank Fuentes, chairman of the Hispanic Contractors Association, among others.
Beckman’s trade group recently released an analysis that found construction jobs are becoming scarcer across the country as public agencies and private owners are reluctant to launch new projects during the pandemic.
The association’s survey of construction stops and business prospects for 2021 found that three times more contractors have experienced postponements and cancellations than new or expanded projects.
A livestream of Abbott’s listening session will be available initially on this page.
