BRANCHBURG – Larken Associates announced the completion of 4,300 square feet of new office space for Core Enterprises, the company’s in-house full-service construction team.

The offices are located at Larken Associates headquarters at 1250 Route 28 in the community. Larken Associates is a commercial and residential property building, development, and management company.

Founded in 2010, Core Enterprises provides Larken Associates with a full suite of end-to-end construction services to strengthen the company’s development capabilities while providing experienced construction management services for third-party construction work in the Northeast. Core Enterprises’ employees are made up of project managers, project leaders, carpenters, interior designers, appraisers and other construction professionals.

Core Enterprise previously had no office space in Larken Associates’ 13,000 square foot Branchburg headquarters. Due to the growth of Core Enterprise, 4,300 square meters of office space had to be created on the third floor of the building to meet the company’s requirements.

Core Enterprises led the design and construction of its headquarters, trying to create a space for a construction team whose layout was geared towards increasing collaboration, productivity and flexibility. By integrating contemporary office design, cutting edge fixtures and furniture, and the latest advances in commercial lighting, the office also serves as an active showroom for Core Enterprises’ office building and design functions.

With the post-pandemic future of work in mind, the office has also been designed using best practices for safety and wellbeing in the workplace. It has six-foot-wide corridors, workplaces separated by glass partitions, and a wellness room.

“We understand our customers’ needs based on our own experience as owner-developers,” said Lenny Tartamella, Larken Associates chief operating officer. “We know how to streamline the process. What’s unique about Core is that we have an owner-developer background. We treat it like it’s our own Larken job.”

The creation of the office space will certainly benefit Larken Associates, Tartamella said.

“It definitely helps today’s needs during the pandemic. We moved the department to the third floor. With the space we had and the staff, our projects will be leaner and more efficient than ever,” Tartamella said.
