Caddick Construction is making progress in expanding Alpla’s Warrington, UK manufacturing facility.

The multi-million pound engineering and construction contract includes a number of phases including a bridge over the highway to connect the company’s existing operations to the adjacent former Carlsberg facility.

The work should be completed in autumn 2021.

Ben Edwards, Contract Manager at Caddick Construction said, “The team has already started delivering the bridge connection and is pleased to have secured this latest phase of expansion of the company’s logistics facility.

“The project will allow this family business to expand in the UK in response to increasing demand for its products, create new job opportunities and stimulate the local economy.

“The bridge connection will also increase business efficiency as products can be safely transported between Alpla’s production and warehouse without having to manually move between buildings.”

Pozzoni Architecture designed the extended facility and the bridge connection.
