State Secretary of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says that construction projects worth Rs.1 billion have been approved, which will generate economic activity worth Rs.4.100 billion.
At a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the investment will create seven hundred thousand new jobs.
The minister of state said projects approved for 373 billion rupees in Punjab, 74 billion rupees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 267 billion rupees in Sindh.
He said twenty thousand housing units under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme were completed while forty-five thousand houses were under construction.
Farrukh Habib said the government was working on digitizing land registers to end corruption and illegal occupation of state land.
