It was a wet and wild week at Greenpoint but we did it! Relax with some fun weekend plans.

After Wednesday night’s terrible flooding, cleanup began, subway service was restored (for the most part) and several Greenpoint neighbors helped out.

This week we took a deep dive into the opening of Big Night, the new dinner party store at 154 Franklin St. We also rounded up some of the best early morning cafes in the area for the early risers who love caffeine with the sun .

In real estate, beyond the creepy super, we’ve looked at the issues with The Astral Building and also reported that Lendlease is planning a huge construction project on 1 Java St., the same block as the Greenpoint Ferry stop, which has been closed since spring …

Those in need of some energy can check out Good Move’s new dance classes held in their brand new studio near the Williamsburg waterfront. To unwind, check out Sounds Nice, a new breed of wellness sound therapy that’s popping up in the neighborhood this month. Bikers can look forward to a new section of the protected bike path opening on Wythe Avenue this fall.
