ALPENA – Hospital staff will redirect visitors and patients arriving at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena, the hospital announced today.

As part of its ongoing expansion project, the hospital has temporarily relocated the registration area and lobby, cardiology and pulmonology waiting rooms, and laboratory department until construction work, which is scheduled for February, is completed.

Hospital staff and volunteers will receive patients and visitors who arrive at the hospital entrance during the day and help them check-in. In the evening, visitors can check in at a kiosk near the entrance. Once seated to wait for registration, visitors can see their seat in the registration line on a nearby monitor. After registration, visitors follow bright signs to their destinations, announced the hospital.
