The judging panel for the ProCon Leicestershire Property and Construction Awards is underway with a series of high quality entries for the 2020-2021 Trophies presented in November.

The 18th ProCon Awards are also strengthened with the arrival of a fourth corporate sponsor – the law firm Gateley Legal becomes the main sponsor alongside Salus Approved Inspectors, Unique Window Systems and Vistry Partnerships.

The submissions that have now been shortlisted guarantee excellent finalists in all eight categories.

ProCon chairman Umesh Desai said: “The range of construction projects submitted is huge and their quality is first class.

“There will be some very exciting competitions between excellent developments. Having to postpone the 2020 awards due to the pandemic was frustrating, but it created the opportunity for this staggering number of entries. “

The November 2020 ceremony was canceled due to coronavirus lockdowns and the ban on large gatherings. ProCon Leicestershire is now well on the way to celebrating its 2020-2021 Extended Awards on November 11th.

Organizers expect to welcome 620 people to Leicester City’s King Power Stadium to discover the best new local construction projects, unless there are new pandemic restrictions affecting such gatherings.

The rated submissions range from show homes, new streets, university buildings, hotels, health centers, and real estate businesses.

There are entries from all over the county, from Market Harborough to Moira.

Mr. Desai said, “With the corporate awards ceremony taking place this summer, we are as confident as possible that our awards ceremony will take place.

“And it’s great that new and ongoing sponsors are supporting the event.”

Piet van Gelder, Construction Partner at Gateley Legal, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring this year’s ProCon Leicestershire Awards 20-2021.

“The awards remain an important event for the Leicestershire real estate community to celebrate the accomplishments of local real estate professionals in what is an especially challenging year for everyone.

“Thank you everyone for getting this far with the award ceremony, we wish you all the best of luck with the ceremony.”
