On Tuesday afternoon, flames spread inside a house under construction in Valencia Park, causing an estimated $ 320,000 property damage, but no one was injured.

According to the San Diego Fire Department, three squatters fled the unfinished single-story home when the fire broke out in the 5100 block of Groveland Drive at around 12:20 p.m.

It took the crews about 15 minutes to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire, which caused about $ 300,000 in damage to the structure and destroyed items worth about $ 20,000, was investigated.

San Diego Gas & Electric personnel were called to the scene of the fire because of failed cables.
